COVID-19 UpdateAn Important Message from CAAWC
During this crisis, CAAWC’s top priority is the health, safety, and well-being of you and your loved ones. Over the next several weeks, we are making decisions daily to ensure the protection of our staff, volunteers and the community.
As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, I wanted to outline the measures we have taken to enhance safety and health protocols at CAAWC:
- Per the recommendation of the City of Danbury, we closed Action Early Learning Center (AELC) to ensure the safety of the children and their families from March 16th to March 30th.
- Our offices located at 66 North Street in Danbury and at 34 Woodland Avenue in Stamford are open with limited access. We will keep in place all necessary safety and cleaning protocols, in addition to providing phone screenings, and mail-in options for services.
- The food pantry at New Hope Baptist Church will remain open with operating hours of 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursdays. We will provide pre-bagged produce and meats, and other staples through curbside pickup only. The self-shopping experience has been suspended.
To protect our families and yours, CAAWC will continue to closely monitor the situation and follow local, state and federal guidelines. We know we will get through this together and look forward to continuing to serve our community.
Please be safe.
